Sasser, a Tennessee native, brings extensive legal and political experience to his new position. Prior to joining the Bank as Executive Secretary and Senior Advisor, he was a partner with the Tennessee firm of Miller & Martin LLP where he specialized in domestic and international business law. Immediately prior to joining the Bank, Sasser was chairman of the Tennessee Democratic Party. He earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University and subsequently earned a masters degree in economic history from the London School of Economics and his law degree from Vanderbilt University.

Tansey, who resides in Washington, DC, joins the Bank after working in several leadership positions over the last ten years with NeighborWorks America, a non-partisan Congressionally-chartered and funded non-profit responsible for developing innovative partnerships with the private sector for building wealth in low-income communities nationally. Prior to joining NWA, he served as associate deputy administrator at the Small Business Administration, and he has held numerous positions in the banking industry. He is an honors graduate of Brown University with a degree in English literature.

"As the Bank continues its mission to support and help create American jobs, Charles and Gray will be powerful advocates of American small business exporters both within the Bank and in Congress," Hochberg said.
