GE Energy Strengthens Its Sales Operations in Canada to Better Serve Market

The FINANCIAL -- To further strengthen its sales operations across Canada,according to GE Energy’s Industrial Solutions business has appointed Adrian Thomas as the new regional sales leader for the country. Thomas will be responsible for driving sales of electrification products and services across Canada.

GE Energy supports customers in the mining and oil and gas industries with a strong portfolio of electrical distribution and motors products and services for both industrial and commercial applications.

Thomas and his team will contribute to the growth of the country’s electric vehicle  infrastructure, bringing to market innovative EV products like the GE WattStationTM Wall Mount, a fast, easy-to-use, award-winning EV charging station that delivers a charge in only four to eight hours.

 

Thomas has overall responsibility for sales of GE Energy’s electrical distribution products and services in Canada, including switchboards and panel boards, uninterruptible power supplies, metering products, circuit breakers, motor controls and capacitors. He is based in Montreal but will oversee sales operations at key facilities across the country, including Calgary and Toronto.

Thomas brings more than 15 years of experience to his new position and has successfully led sales and application teams that have achieved significant growth in global markets. He began his career at GE Canada as a large motors designer in Peterborough, followed by a transition to a marketing role for GE Energy in Montreal that featured a combination of sales and commercial operations.

Later, Thomas held various positions with TMEIC, an industrial systems, drive and motor manufacturer, in Roanoke, Va., where he developed international sales experience covering growing markets in Taiwan, India and North America. He is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, with a bachelor of science in engineering.
