The FINANCIAL -- The supervisory board of Allianz-Lebensversicherungs-AG, Stuttgart, at its meeting, January 16, 2012, has appointed Markus Faulhaber as CEO of the company as of June 1, 2012, according to Allianz.

He succeeds Maximilian Zimmerer who, as previously reported, will be joining the the board of management of Allianz SE, Munich, at that time. In addition, Alf Neumann was also appointed a member of the board of management of Allianz Leben. Neumann, who has a PhD in mathematics, will take over the area private clients and products from Faulhaber.

Furthermore, the supervisory board of Allianz Deutschland AG, Munich, has appointed Birgit König, CEO of Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG, Munich, and Markus Faulhaber as members of the board of management for Allianz Deutschland AG as of June 1, 2012. Within the parent company for the Allianz insurance business in Germany, they will be responsible for health insurance and life insurance respectively.
